The Montreal Friendship Force Club

Our club was founded in November 2000 under the name "La Force de l'Amitié de Montréal" and counts today 75 members. Most of them are retired people. They have worked in many different spheres of activity, like education, health care, business and so on. They love to travel and make new friends all around the world.

Our hosting capacity is a maximun of 20 members.

For passengers arrival, one main airport is to be considered. It is the "Pierre Elliott Trudeau" airport which is located at 22 kilometres from downtown Montreal. It can offer domestic, regional and international flights.

Montreal is a true cosmopolitain city where French and English languages are spoken currently. It is the second largest French-speaking city in the world after Paris. Two third of its population is from French origins and speak French even if most of its citizens speak English. You will meet people from many nationalities, Italians, Greeks, Haitians, Chinese, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Latin american and many others. And they all live in great harmony.

Montreal, being the second-largest city in Canada, has a metropolitan population of three and a half million citizens. It also has one of the greatest interior harbour in the world, being one of the two great islands in the St-Lawrence River. The Mount Royal, located in the western central part of Montreal, offers a breathtaking view of the city. ( 230m/769 ft).

One of the most ancient cities on the continent, Montreal hosts millions of visitors every year. Its renound reputation for its hospitality, its latin spirit, a fulfilled cultural life, its numerous restaurants, its exceptional cuisine with low budget meals, active and busy nightlife gives to Montreal all these assets and explain why it is the most exciting city in North America.

Montreal also offers a great underground pedestrian network ( 34 kilometres long). It goes by the name of " the underground city" or simply "the underground". More than 500,000 people pass through the " underground" every day on their way to work, university, boutiques and businesses, (over 1700).

The visitors will enjoy the beautiful architectural details of the building inherited from centuries past and the very special design of the outside stairs.

Montreal is a warm and very inviting city, opened to all cultures where the visitor can wander at night and feel secured at all times.
